Your team

Invite users to your account

An Admin on Growth or higher can invite people from Settings → Team. Starter stays one seat. The invitee uses the emailed link, then signs in — PayBlah does not sign them in for them.

1 of 7 in Your team

Plan: Growth, Pro, Business, and Enterprise — extra seats, unlimited under fair use. Starter = 1 seat. Only an Admin can send an invite.

Open Settings → Team as an Admin. The page lists people who have already joined, their role or Owner badge, and — when your plan allows it — Invite someone. Pending invitations do not appear in that table.

Before you invite

  • You must be an Admin. Standard users can see the Team list; they cannot invite, change roles, or archive.
  • Starter is one seat. The control reads Invite not available and the page explains “Invites start on Growth — Starter is a single seat.” Open View plan to compare Plan & billing.
  • Growth, Pro, Business, and Enterprise include unlimited seats under fair use.
  • You can invite someone as Standard or Admin only. You cannot invite a second Owner.

Send an invite

  1. Go to Settings → Team.
  2. Press Invite someone to open the invite panel.
  3. Enter First name, Last name, and Email.
  4. Pick a role: Standard (day-to-day work) or Admin (can change settings).
  5. Press Send invite.

PayBlah creates a single-use invitation. When mail is delivered, the person gets a join link. If mail is held or unconfigured, the product reports that the invitation was created but not delivered — it does not claim the email was sent. Sending the same address again replaces the unused link. Someone already accepted on this team cannot be invited twice. An archived teammate can be invited again from this same form.

What the invitee does

  1. Open the invitation email within 7 days.
  2. The page heading is Join plus your business name. The copy says they were invited as an Admin or a team member.
  3. New to PayBlah: Choose a password and Confirm password (at least 12 characters). Already has a PayBlah login: Confirm your PayBlah password.
  4. Press Accept invitation.
  5. New accounts then see Save your recovery codes and press Continue to login. Existing accounts go to login with “Invitation accepted. Log in to open …”.
  6. Sign in with their own password. After the mailbox is proved, email sign-in codes are on, so the next screen is usually One more step.

Accepting never opens a session by itself. An expired or already-used link shows “This invitation is no longer available” — send a new invite.

After they join

  • They appear in the Team table and work the same invoices, customers, and activity you do — as this business, not as a third-party collector.
  • If you chose Standard, they cannot save settings (the product shows Admin only — Standard users can't change settings).
  • You can later change their role with Save role or remove access with Archive.

If something goes wrong

  • No Invite someone control: you are not an Admin, or the plan is Starter.
  • “That person is already on this team”: they already accepted — change their role instead.
  • “That address belongs to an archived PayBlah account”: that login cannot be invited back from this screen.
  • They say the link failed: send the invite again (that replaces the unused link) or confirm they used it within 7 days.

What this will not do

  • It will not create a second PayBlah company. Invites join this workspace only. Adding another business is a separate Admin action on Business or Enterprise.
  • It will not sign the invitee in, bypass the Starter seat cap, or list pending invites in the Team table.
  • Archiving frees access without deleting the history of what they did. Re-invite later if they return.
