Accept a team invitation

Use the emailed link within 7 days. Set or confirm a password of at least 12 characters. New accounts save recovery codes, then Continue to login. Accepting never opens a session.

2 of 7 in team

Plan: Someone already on the team must send the invite (Admin, Growth or higher). Accepting the link is free for the invitee. Starter cannot send extra seats. You join this business as an Admin or a team member (Standard) — not as a second Owner.

An Admin sends Invite someone from Settings → Team. You receive a single-use link. The link lasts 7 days. Accepting proves the mailbox and, for a new login, turns on email sign-in codes. PayBlah does not sign you in. You will Log in yourself.

Before you start

  • Open the invitation email on a device you will use to sign in later.
  • Have a password of at least 12 characters (new account) or the password already on this email (existing PayBlah login).
  • The workspace must be ready (trialing, active, or past due). A preparing or closed workspace shows the invitation as unavailable.

Accept the invitation

  1. Open the link within 7 days. Heading: Join {business name}. Lead: you were invited as an Admin or a team member, with the invited email shown.
  2. If you are new to PayBlah: Choose a password and Confirm password (12 or more characters). Copy: The invitation proves this email belongs to you.
  3. If you already have a PayBlah login on that email: Confirm your PayBlah password.
  4. Press Accept invitation.

New login — save recovery codes

  1. You see Save your recovery codes. Email is confirmed and sign-in codes now protect the account. Each recovery code works once if you cannot reach email.
  2. Store the ten codes in a password manager or print the page. This is the only time PayBlah can show them. Do not send them to anyone, including PayBlah support.
  3. Press Continue to login. You are still signed out.
  4. On Welcome back, press Log in, then complete One more step with the email code (or a recovery code in the same box).

Existing login

After Accept invitation you go straight to login. Notice: Invitation accepted. Log in to open {business name}. Use your password and, if factors are on, One more step. If you belong to more than one business, choose a workspace after that.

Expected result

You can sign in with your own password. You appear in Settings → Team. You work invoices, Customers, Workflows, and Activity as this business — not as a third-party collector. You were not signed in by the invitation link.

If something goes wrong

  • This invitation is no longer available — expired, already used, or the workspace is not ready. Press Go to login and ask an Admin to send a new invite (that replaces an unused link).
  • That password is not correct. Use the password for the invited email address. — existing login, wrong password. Use Forgot password? on login if you need a reset; a reset also does not sign you in.
  • Use at least 12 characters. / Those two passwords do not match. — fix and accept again.
  • Too many attempts. Wait a minute and try again.
  • That invitation could not be accepted. Ask an administrator to send a new one.
  • No recovery codes later: generate a new set from Settings → two-factor after you can sign in. Old codes die. Nobody on the team can turn your factors off for you.

What this does not do

  • It does not open a session. There is no “already signed in” state after Accept.
  • It does not create a second PayBlah company. You join this workspace only.
  • It does not list you in Team until you accept. Pending invites are invisible on that table.
  • It does not bypass email sign-in codes after a new mailbox is proved. Do not ask a teammate to switch 2FA off so you can get in.
