The Two-Minute Tour is a highlighted walk through six areas: Dashboard, Invoices, Customers, Workflows, Activity, Reports, and Settings. The name is a product label. There are 18 cards. It takes as long as you spend reading them. It does not start chasing.
Who can do this
- An Admin (including the Owner) on Dashboard, where the getting-started card exists.
- If the checklist is hidden: Setup help → Show setup checklist.
Start and move through the tour
- Open Dashboard.
- Press Take the Two-Minute Tour in Setup help, or the same label in the checklist footer.
- Read the card. Chrome shows Two-Minute Tour · Step N of 18, a progress bar, End Tour, Back, and Next (last stop: Finish).
- Press Next to change page when the next stop lives elsewhere. The tour continues after the page loads.
- Press Finish on stop 18, or leave early with End Tour, the dimmed overlay, or Escape.
On a narrow screen Back is hidden; use End Tour or continue with Next.
The 18 stops
| # | Title | Where it takes you |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Dashboard | Dashboard — overdue money, recent payments, what needs a person |
| 2 | Finish setup safely | The checklist (locked plan rows do not count) |
| 3 | Your live position | The hero card; period filters only change that reporting area |
| 4 | Invoices | The invoice list |
| 5 | Active, waiting and archived | Invoice views and Filters |
| 6 | Open one invoice for the full story | A row — balance, timeline, promise or dispute |
| 7 | Customers | The customer list (not “Debtors”) |
| 8 | Prioritise the right accounts | Search and open a customer |
| 9 | Workflows | The Workflows hub (route may still say reminders) |
| 10 | Workflows, templates and protections | The hub tabs |
| 11 | Edit the journey deliberately | A Workflow card — save explicitly |
| 12 | Activity | Approvals, replies, letters, disputes, promises, stop requests |
| 13 | Nothing important is buried | Activity tabs and counts |
| 14 | Reports | Reports home |
| 15 | Read the headline first | Period and totals |
| 16 | Evidence, not vanity figures | Recorded payments stay separate from attributed recovery |
| 17 | Settings | Settings home |
| 18 | Know where every control lives | The Settings section menu |
Expected result
You have seen where Customers, Workflows, Activity, and Settings live. Finish records that you completed the tour. Skip does not change invoices, Workflows, or sending. You still need Start following up in setup before anything is queued.
If something goes wrong
- No Take the Two-Minute Tour: you are Standard, or you are not on Dashboard with the getting-started card.
- A highlight misses its target: the card still opens against the main page so you can continue.
- You left mid-tour and came back in the same browser session: it can resume the stored stop. End Tour clears that.
- Need a sandbox instead: Explore the safe demo is a different action. Isolated
/democannot send. The tour can open live pages.
What this does not do
- It is not a timer. Eighteen stops can take more than two minutes.
- It does not replace the seven-step wizard or Save and exit.
- It does not email or text customers, approve Firm or Final, or mark a letter sent.
- It does not prove that a payment was caused by PayBlah. Reports copy in the tour keeps recorded payments and attributed recovery apart.
