Invoice detail is where day-to-day AR decisions happen for a single bill. Example shape in product: debtor name, invoice number, outstanding amount, days overdue, due date, and chasing badge.

Open an invoice

  1. Go to Invoices and click a row, or open an invoice from a debtor’s Invoices tab.
  2. Read the header: company, chasing state (for example Not Chasing), amount outstanding, age, original due date.
  3. Review contacts listed for email (and other channels when configured).
  4. Use the action bar for the outcome you need.

Primary actions

  • Mark Paid — record amount and date paid. After save, chasing should stop for a fully paid invoice.
  • Record A Promise — promised date, optional amount, note. After save, status moves toward promised and automated chasing pauses.
  • Raise A Dispute — reason and note. Chasing stops while the dispute is open.
  • Record Settlement — agreed amount, optional write-off, who agreed, reason. Use when you settle for other than full face value.
  • Copy payment link — copies the debtor payment link for that invoice so you can share it manually if needed.

Notes and related context

Private notes on the invoice are labelled as never sent to the debtor. You can also jump to the debtor record, see other overdue invoices for the same company, and preview what the debtor sees via the payment experience link when offered.

What this does not do

  • Actions here do not file court claims or transfer ownership of the debt.
  • Private notes are not included in customer emails.
  • Copying a payment link does not mark the invoice paid.

PayBlah is accounts-receivable automation software. You remain the creditor. Confirm local rules with your own advisor for your territory (US, UK, Ireland, or Australia).
