PayBlah is accounts-receivable automation. During and after the trial you remain the creditor. Follow-up messages go in your business’s name. Nothing customer-facing restarts without a human confirm after the trial pause.
Prerequisites
- A new workspace starts a 30-day trial. No card is required to begin.
- Choosing a paid plan needs an Admin and a successful Checkout (tax determined, provider able to charge — or an honest refuse with nothing taken).
- Restarting sending after you pay needs an Admin on the trial resume preview.
During the trial
- 30 days on Starter features (trial ends at signup + 30 days).
- You can import, build workflows, and send within Starter rules and 25 active invoice spaces.
- Compare Plans lists the portal as Growth+. The product can still mint a customer portal link without that rank check today — treat the live button as truth, and do not assume Starter is blocked.
- Firm and Final steps still wait for human approval. Safety rails are not an upgrade.
Choose a plan before day 30
- Open Billing and press Compare Plans, or use See plans / Choose a plan from the trial strip.
- Pick the tier that matches active invoice count and features. Confirm the interval you want (monthly or annual).
- Complete Checkout when it is allowed. If Checkout is refused, the trial continues unchanged and nothing is charged.
When the trial ends without a paid plan
The trial-ended page heading is Everything is saved. The hero is Your 30-day trial has ended, with the eyebrow Read-only · sending safely paused.
- Sending — email, text and other outbound actions stay blocked at the final delivery gate. Nothing is interrupted mid-action.
- Still available — invoices, customers, workflows, activity and value reports remain viewable.
- Retention — data is retained for 90 days after trial expiry. The product warns before deletion. After that window the tenant is purge-eligible (irreversible).
- Buttons: Export my data, Choose a plan, Return to dashboard.
The app banner says Your trial has ended — everything is saved with Export your data, What happens now? and Choose a plan.
After you pay — resume preview
Payment does not restart sending by itself. After a successful convert, Billing can send you to the trial page with: Your subscription is active. Review what will resume before anything can send.
- Open the trial page (banner Review resume or What happens now?). The banner title is Your subscription is active — review what resumes.
- Read Here’s exactly what will resume: how many invoices stay in active workflows, how many paused-period actions will be skipped (never queued or back-sent), how many future actions will be recalculated from today, and the first possible action time.
- An Admin presses Resume following up. Optional: Review invoices first.
- Non-Admins see: An account Admin must confirm this resume preview.
Success flash: Following up has resumed safely. N paused action(s) skipped and M future action(s) recalculated from today. Firm and Final still need approval at send time. Choosing a plan before the 90-day purge date keeps the tenant; sending still waits for this confirm.
Expected result
During trial you can work and send within Starter limits. After expiry, the book is readable and silent. After you pay, the resume preview is visible and sending stays off until an Admin confirms. If you never convert, export before day 90.
If something looks wrong
- You paid but reminders still do not go out — that is expected until Resume following up. Do not assume convert “clears the trial clock and continues the book.”
- Resume button missing — you are not an Admin, or the paid subscription / preview is not ready.
- Checkout refused (tax or mid-term) — nothing was charged; try again after the on-screen reason is fixed.
- Need the files only — use Export my data / Export your data while you still have access.
