From the portal home, the customer chooses How to pay. That screen shows the amount due, the invoice reference, who is billed, and how to complete payment.
When card is not on
If card payment is not switched on for the link, the product states that clearly. The customer is told to pay you the way they normally do — for example bank transfer — and to quote the invoice number so the payment can be matched. Contact details you have configured may appear so they can reach you.
The same screen may point them to paying later or paying some of it (promise or part-pay flows) so they are not stuck if they cannot clear the balance today.
When card is on
With a provider connected (Growth+ payment features), the customer can complete payment on the hosted path. Funds go through that provider to you — PayBlah does not hold the money.
After a full payment
- A receipt view can show what was recorded against the link.
- When the invoice is fully settled on the link, reminders for that debt are designed to stop.
- Your books and PayBlah stay aligned when payment is detected via accounting sync or a provider webhook — see When a payment is detected.
Recording payment yourself
If they paid outside the portal, open the invoice and use Mark paid / Record payment with amount and date. That is available on every plan and still feeds the stop-on-payment safety path.
