CSV import is the file path when you are not using a live accounting connect, or when you need a one-off load. The Import page lives under Invoices.

Prepare the file

  • Save as .csv.
  • Stay within 5 MB and about 2000 rows per the upload control.
  • Include columns you can map to company, contact names, email, phone, invoice number, amount, due date, and paid status where you have them.

Upload

  1. Go to InvoicesImport (or open Import from the invoices toolbar).
  2. Under Upload A File, choose your CSV.
  3. Click Upload And Match Columns.
  4. Complete column mapping (see Column mapping). Confirm the preview looks correct.
  5. Finish the import. Check Past Imports for created, skipped, and failed counts, and open Details if something failed.

After a good run, invoices and debtors appear in the register. Dashboard cards and ageing update from that data. If a package connection also exists, the Import page may show last successful sync and schedule for that connection separately from file uploads.

What this does not do

  • Upload does not email debtors.
  • Other ways in listed as Soon (live Google Sheets, Zapier, API) are not the path today — use file upload or package Connect.
  • A bad mapping can create wrong contacts; fix mapping before large production files.
