Timing rules keep follow-up inside the working pattern you want. The Workflows tab only shows chips such as Quiet {from}–{to} that link to Settings. The controls themselves are on Protections and Reminder defaults.
Set the schedule in Reminder defaults
- Open Settings and the pane titled Reminder defaults.
- Under Timing, set Preferred daily run time.
- Set Quiet hours from / to. Times follow your business timezone in Localisation.
- Set Contactable days with the day pills. A step due on an off day waits for the next on day.
- Press Save changes on the settings save bar.
Or edit the same window on Protections
- Open Workflows → Protections.
- Find When chasing runs (mode, send time, quiet hours, contactable days, Friendly/Standard approval default, minimum chase).
- Change a control. Protections saves on change (no separate Publish).
After changes, read the next-run chip. Dashboard Coming Up updates on the next calculation.
How timing interacts with steps
Workflow day offsets decide which step is due. Quiet hours and contactable days decide whether that due step may leave at the next run. They delay; they do not drop the step. Firm and Final still wait in Activity → Approvals even when the clock is right.
When chasing stops on Protections is the age cutoff (Aged list) — not quiet hours. Some Your rules rows (part-payment pause days, notify-over amount) are marked recorded only: changing them does not yet change what sends.
Expected result
Sends stay inside the quiet-hours window and contactable days. A due step waits until the next allowed run instead of going out at night or on an off day.
If next run looks wrong
- Confirm timezone under Localisation.
- Confirm Start following up is complete so the scheduler is active.
- Confirm you pressed Save changes on Reminder defaults (that pane does not save on blur).
What this does not do
- Quiet hours do not replace Never chase, dispute, promise, or a reply send hold.
- They do not turn SMS on. Text (SMS) is still gated (global default off, plus plan, territory, tenant).
- They do not approve Firm/Final.
