Connecting your books

Disconnect your accounting package

Open Connections, open the connected package card, click Disconnect, and confirm — scheduled sync stops for that link.

Disconnect when you are changing systems, rotating credentials, or pausing automatic pulls. The control lives on Connections next to the active package.

Disconnect

  1. Sign in and open Connections.
  2. Find the active connection card (for example Xero with last synced details).
  3. Click Disconnect.
  4. Confirm if the product asks. The live grant is removed; status will no longer show a healthy 60-minute sync.

After disconnect, automatic package sync stops. Existing invoices already in PayBlah remain in the register unless you archive or change them through product actions — they do not vanish solely because the pipe closed. You can still import CSV or connect again later.

Reconnect later

Use the package Connect button again and complete authorisation. If the UI showed Needs reconnecting before, a fresh grant restores Sync.

What this does not do

  • Disconnect does not cancel your PayBlah trial or paid plan.
  • It does not by itself email customers that you left.
  • It does not delete reminder templates or sequences.

If you only needed a credential refresh, prefer Reconnect over a long disconnect when possible so the register stays fresh.

PayBlah is accounts-receivable automation software. You remain the creditor. Confirm local rules with your own advisor for your territory (US, UK, Ireland, or Australia).
