Sequences (ladders) define the order and timing of reminders. Reminders opens on a Ladders experience with stock and custom sequences.

Open ladders

  1. Go to Reminders.
  2. Select the Ladders tab if it is not already active.
  3. Review cards such as Standard (default, steady professional), Gentle, Firm-But-Fair, and any custom sequences you created.
  4. Click a sequence, then Edit Sequence to change rungs.

Edit steps

  1. Set Days and whether the step is before or after the due date.
  2. Choose Channels with Email as the channel you can rely on at launch. If the UI also lists text, treat SMS as coming later by territory — do not build a process that requires SMS today.
  3. Attach a template / message for the step.
  4. Add a step with Add a step here / Add this step, or remove a step you do not want.
  5. Optionally restore default rungs for Standard if you need a clean slate.

A sequence with no steps sends nothing until you add rungs. You can mark which sequence new invoices start on.

Create a custom sequence

  1. Click New sequence / Create.
  2. Name it and describe what it is for.
  3. Add steps, then save.

What this does not do

  • Editing a ladder does not immediately blast all debtors; sends wait for schedule and enrolment.
  • Removing a sequence may be blocked or require care if invoices still point at it — reassign first when the UI warns you.
