Chasing in PayBlah means scheduled, polite AR reminders that you configure. You remain the sender. PayBlah is automation for accounts receivable, not a debt collection agency.

Building blocks

  • Sequences (ladders) — ordered steps at day offsets, each pointing at a template and channel. Stock options include Standard (default), Gentle, and Firm-But-Fair, plus custom ladders.
  • Enrolment — an invoice must be on a ladder (and not held out) before steps fire.
  • Schedule — quiet hours, Monday–Friday, and a send time; sidebar shows Next run.
  • Activity — Approvals for Firm/Final, plus Replies, Letters, Sent Log, Disputes, Stop Requests.
  • Safety — payment, reply, dispute, and stop flows pause or stop further automated messaging.

Happy path

  1. Connect or import invoices and complete Go Live.
  2. Choose a default sequence on Reminders → Ladders.
  3. Enrol open invoices (automatically per rules or manually from invoice detail).
  4. At Next run, eligible steps send on Email (launch channel). Text messaging is coming to territories later; do not depend on SMS as available everywhere today.
  5. Watch Activity and Dashboard Needs You for human tasks.
  6. When paid or disputed, chasing stops or pauses without you writing a one-off cancel for every case.

What chasing will not do

  • It will not send before go live.
  • It will not ignore Never chase, promises, or open disputes.
  • It will not present PayBlah as the creditor — your company is the sender.
  • It will not use the word games of a collection agency; keep tone in templates professional and clear.

PayBlah is accounts-receivable automation software. You remain the creditor. Confirm local rules with your own advisor for your territory (US, UK, Ireland, or Australia).
