Customer Feedback Pulse invites one 1–5 rating after PayBlah can prove that the exact public portal link covers at least one real, non-reversed payment. It does not send email, SMS, or calls. It is a rating, not an NPS survey.
Prerequisites
- An Admin has pressed Install Customer Feedback Pulse and the install is Active.
- Owner or Admin to change settings.
- A customer-facing invitation appears only when the app is collecting feedback and that link has a recorded payment. See Leave portal feedback after payment.
Staff: save feedback settings
- Open the app or go to
/apps/customer-feedback-pulse. The back link is Back to Settings. - Confirm the state badge: Collecting feedback or Switched off.
- Tick or clear Show feedback after a recorded payment. Switching this off hides every public form immediately.
- Edit Question (plain text, 8–180 characters), optionally Allow an optional comment, and the Thank-you message.
- Press Save Feedback Settings.
Only an actual settings change creates a new question version. Saving the same settings again does not increment the version or reopen an answered link. Ratings stay grouped with the version the customer answered.
Staff: read responses
The page shows average rating for the current question, the 1–5 distribution, the configuration version number, and recent comments. No customer name or email is requested or stored.
Customer side (one answer per version)
After payment on that portal link, the customer may submit one rating (and optional comment) for the current configuration version. Changing the question versions the form, so a later version can accept a new answer. Reinstalling the app without changing the configuration does not reopen a second answer on the same paid link and version.
Expected result
Eligible paid links can show the form. Switching the app off, pausing it, or removing it hides the form. Prior responses remain as tenant evidence.
If nothing appears
- State is Switched off — tick show-feedback and save.
- Settings are read-only — only Owner or Admin can configure.
- No invitation on the portal — no recorded payment on that link, app off, or already answered for this version.
- Stored configuration failed safety rules — save safe defaults before public feedback can appear.
What this will not do
- It does not send survey campaigns or reminders.
- It does not change invoices, payments, or workflows.
- On remove: settings and prior responses are retained while staff projections and public forms stop immediately.
